BeoirFest:

This Saturday is the final session of the year and I think it's going to be another blast.

  • El Camino are from Cantabria in Northern Spain. They're a proudly local brewery focused on producing great tasting beers that reflect the culture and ingredients of their region.
  • Crooked Spider are from the small town of Wassenaar in The Netherlands. Founded in 2014 they moved into their present brewery just last January.
  • Varionica are one of of Croatia's craft beer scene pioneers. They brew a mix of easily drinkable and experimental beers and have the awards to show for it.

This is a great chance to learn more about the breweries and the beer scenes in their countries. No doubt we'll wander into wider topics as well.

West Cork Brewing Company will be 7 years in existence this weekend so as part of the celebrations we will have a special menu available in Casey's of Baltimore, Hotel on for this weekend made with beers from the brewery. We will also have free tastings of our beers available all weekend in Casey’s as well as the Christmas Craft Fair with all our beers and hampers available on Sunday.

This image sums it all up really. We have been working hard all year and its these days that really show us the growth we have achieved to date. Behind our MD Faye Healy you will see the mammoth order of printed cans we have just received in this week for our new product (launching this month). These are exciting times for Dundalk Bay Brewery & Distillery with exports and further growth models planned for next year.

Our aptly-numbered final Brewers at Play of the year. It's the last of the year but our first Barleywine and our first beer with a double-digit ABV. No.21 is fruity and rich with great depth of flavour. Share one in front of the fire — there might not be enough for one each!

Rascal's Scoop Badge Of Honour!

We're beyond chuffed to have been awarded a McKennas' Guides Best in Ireland 2022 badge. This is really quite the honour and to be given such a prestigious distinction, in spite of the challenges of the past 18 months, is a testament to our staff.

Huge credit and thanks to our restaurant manager Dot, venue manager Fergal, pizza chef Patch, and the entire restaurant team at Rascals HQ: Finn, Felipe, Arek, Jon, Eamon, Sophie, Ciaran, Geena, Fran, Rebeca, Ryan, Aaron, Chloe and Ruth.
