The Silver Restaurant at Newbridge Silverware in Co Kildare has been crowned Café of the Year at the renowned Good Food Ireland Awards 2024. Sponsored by Ballymaloe Foods, this prestigious award celebrates The Silver Restaurant's commitment to quality, innovation, and the authentic Irish food experience that has captured the hearts of both locals and international visitors alike.

 

The award ceremony took place in the opulent

surroundings of The K Club, bringing together a gathering of 300 guests, including prominent Irish and international chefs, food buyers, influential food and drink writers, media representatives, and industry leaders. The Good Food Ireland Awards is widely recognised as a celebration of excellence across the entire food and drink sector, honouring those who champion Irish culinary craftsmanship at every level—from producers and manufacturers to chefs and retailers.

 

The Silver Restaurant stood out in the Café of the Year category, a testament to its dedication to delivering an unforgettable dining experience. From expertly crafted Irish-inspired dishes to its welcoming atmosphere, The Silver Restaurant has proven itself as a leader in elevating Ireland's café culture.

 

The restaurant offers a warm and stylish setting for guests to enjoy delicious home-cooked food, for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the restaurant with natural light and provide stunning views of the verdant, seasonally planted gardens. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, a brand-new extension called The Drawing Room was completed in 2023 and this elegant space can host private events and functions. 

 

Afternoon Tea at The Silver Restaurant offers a tempting selection of finely crafted sandwiches, delicate pastries, and freshly baked scones accompanied by rich cream and homemade preserves.  The afternoon tea is served on a vintage tea service complimented by the brand’s famous tableware, which is hand crafted on site in the Newbridge Silverware factory. The perfect indulgent for friends, family, or a touch of self-pampering.
