Beer of the Week
West Cork Cape Haze West Coast IPA, 4.7% ABV, 500 ml bottle, Bradleys
Good times and great beers in Baltimore.
Love the golden colour of this West Coast IPA and its bubbly white head above the haze. From Ireland’s most southerly brewery, it is refreshing and fruity with hints of orange and pine. It is unfiltered, is vegan-friendly, and Very Highly Recommended as are all of our
Beers of the Week.It is generously hopped with Herkules, Admiral, Mandarina Bavaria, and Yellow Sub (nicknamed “Amarillo on steroids”) and the combination gives it quite the backbone. You might even get a hint of the salty summer breezes.
You’ll certainly get that invigorating breeze if you choose the food pairing and location suggested by the producers. And what better place to enjoy the local mussels and the beer than on the terrace of Casey’s Baltimore, the West Cork Hotel where Cape Haze (and more) are produced? Let the whales and the good times roll.
* In December 2014 Dominic Casey, Henry Thornhill and Brewer Kevin Waugh launched the West Cork Brewing Co. in Casey’s, the first Brew-Hotel to set up in Ireland.
