Uncover a Wexford Gem: Jaspers Restaurant in the Crown Quarter

Uncover a Wexford Gem:

Jaspers Restaurant in the Crown Quarter

Meet Banba, Fódla or Éire, one of the three Irish goddesses in a lofty eye-catching mural within Jaspers.

Step into a vibrant oasis at Jaspers Restaurant, the jewel in Wexford's Crown Quarter. This bustling complex offers everything from cosy stays to lively music and comedy, and excellent food, all right in the heart of town. And the adventure begins on

a unique note – you enter through Monck Street, Ireland's only fully covered street, and dining area!

Monck Street, with the roof closed, over its entire 80 metres

Inside Jaspers, the atmosphere is electric. The L-shaped space boasts a spacious main area and a long, narrow "leg" with high ceilings. Look up to discover a captivating mural depicting the three sister goddesses of Ireland – a testament to the rich tapestry of Irish ancestry.

Hungry for a feast? Jaspers serves up brunch, lunch, and dinner, with friendly and attentive service to match. We even spotted a small wedding party enjoying their special day here! Be sure to check their Jasper's media for the latest opening hours.

Three starter tastees for sharing, or for yourself!

Thirsty? The well-stocked bar has something for everyone. Over twenty spirits line the shelves, alongside non-alcoholic options, craft beers (including the local favourite Yellowbelly), and a dazzling array of colourful cocktails (with some alcohol-free choices too!).

Locally sourced goodness is a theme at Jaspers. Start your culinary journey with the Mezze Plate featuring Killowen Farm Yogurt Labneh, or indulge in the decadence of Meadowfield Farm Goats Cheese with Roast Plums and Caramelized onions. Feeling carnivorous? The O'Neills Crispy Pork Belly or the Loch Garman Abú featuring Redmond Farm Wexford Pulled Beef Brisket are sure to tantalise your taste buds.

Delicious featherblade (above), my favourite dish of the night. We also enjoyed their Roast Irish Chicken Supreme. Our starter, with samples of three small plates, allowed us to explore the tastes of Wexford, with Chimichurri Tempura Prawn, Meadowfield Farm Goats Cheese and Roast Plum, and an outstanding O’Neills Sticky Pork Belly.

For the main course, carnivores can go classic with an Irish Ribeye Steak or a juicy 8oz Irish Fillet Steak, both served with a symphony of flavours – Sea Salt & Rosemary Crisp Potato, Sautéed Mushrooms, Fried Onions, and Pepper Sauce. Prefer seafood? Fresh catches like Grilled Hake or Pan Fried Kilmore Quay Cod await.

For a land-based alternative to the fish, the Roast Rump of Slaney Valley Lamb or the Silver Hill Irish Duck Breast are excellent choices. Vegetarians won't be left out – a Homemade Beetroot Gnocchi beckons, and a dedicated Vegan and Vegetarian menu is available upon request.

So, escape the ordinary and find yourself at Jaspers Restaurant in Wexford! This vibrant gem offers something for everyone, with a focus on fresh, local flavours and a welcoming atmosphere.
