Guinness with Timmermans Lambic & Stout. Beer Of The Week Exceptional as you might expect from five centuries of brewing heritage

Beer Of The Week

Exceptional beer as you might expect from five centuries of heritage

Guinness with Timmermans Lambic & Stout 6% ABV, 37.5 cl bottle, Carry Out Wexford

Blended and bottled in Belgium, this Lambic & Stout is a terrific drink. It is a blend of three beers: the Guinness West Indies Porter (1801), Guinness Special Export (first brewed in 1944 exclusively for John Martin) and Timmermans Oude Kriek (from the world’s

oldest lambic brewery).

It is an amazing beer. The dark black colour allows flashes of red or pink under an off-white (coffee) head. Aromas are mostly cherry but you can find notes of chocolate and oak. And those cherry flavours lead in the beautifully balanced palate. Those cherry flavours lead on the beautifully balanced palate and there is much more to come at the finish as the sweet malt and the tartLambic mingle their magic.

Exceptional beer as you might expect from the five centuries of heritage and know-how that the breweries have accumulated over time.

Very Highly Recommended and our Beer of the Week.
