Taste of the Week.
Clonmel's Mad Beans. More than a business
Clonmel's Mad Beans have combined their passion for quality coffee with a commitment to social responsibility. Founded by Martin and Jenny Blanchfield, the company "is the culmination of years of
dreaming about setting up their own business with a purpose beyond profit".Brewing change together is the motto, socially responsible beans and a pledge to reinvest 50% of profits back into the community. All this is very well, but the coffee must also be up to scratch. Indeed it is, and is now our Taste of the Week.
The rich chocolate aromas draw you in and the dark chocolate with hazelnut notes and a sweetish creamy body keeps you engaged as you enjoy your elevenses or fourses or whatever it is, thanks to this enthusiastic Clonmel duo.
I bought my Brazilian coffee at their recent Ballymaloe Food Festival stall. They also have a coffee from Colombia. Check all the details here.
