| Aside from a robin greeting us at the entrance to the wood, we didn't see or hear another bird during the one hour walk. No rabbits either, none of the usual signs. Beginning to think there was no wildlife here at all when, all of a sudden, three deer briefly appeared on the track. about 300 yards ahead, too far away to get a decent photo, and they didn't hang around in any case! |
