MR ISCHLER’S DELICATESSEN
Took a short cut through Kyle Street today and spotted a bakery with some tempting looking loaves in the window. Inside, there was quite a selection and also pastries and also fudges and chocolate truffles.
I stuck to
my mission though and bought a brown bloomer type loaf (bloomer loaf: a crusty loaf with rounded ends, and typically with several parallel diagonal slashes across its top). Cost a reasonable €2.95 and used it as the base for Sally Bee’s Mozzarella and Tomato toastie.

Very tasty indeed as it was when I checked it out on its own later. Could well be visiting here again as it is so close to the Vision Centre and to Bradley’s Off-Licence, both regular calls of mine on the North Main Street. Kyle Street, directly opposite the Vision Centre, leads to the Coal Quay.
